EasyMatch Essentials: Electronic Records

Electronic record support has been added to EasyMatch Essentials. ER functionality includes more advanced login and security options, audit and event logs, and data integrity options to meet 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. EasyMatch Essentials ER is a licensed feature and builds on top of user-based authentication already available in EasyMatch Essentials.

Enhanced Security Settings

New Security Settings give administrators more control over user access. Options include role-based permissions, password length and expiration, inactivity sign-out, and limits on failed sign-in attempts before lockout. These features help ensure consistent protection across all users.

Chromaticity Tolerances and Plots

When using the Yxy color scale, EasyMatch Essentials will allow adding chromaticity tolerances. These can be manually entered or loaded from a list of standard presets.

Once a chromaticity tolerance has been added, the absolute color plot will show the region, along with pass/fail indicators for the plotted points. Other views will also show a simple pass/fail for the chromaticity tolerance.

Simplified Diagnostic Warnings

Instead of the persistent banner indicating the diagnostics skipped or failed status, a new simple indicator will be shown in the top left of the screen. When navigating to the diagnostics page, you’ll see the status of each diagnostic test.

Updated Charting

The spectral plot has a new layout using a new custom charting engine. This new layout combines the chart legend with the list of measurements, simplifying the selection of measurements.

Hue and chroma have been added to the color plot view. When enabled, they will be added to any CIELAB plot. The color plot is also using our new charting engine and has new interactive crosshairs and snapping behavior for ease of use.

Other Notable Features

• Absolute color scale tolerances

  • When setting tolerances on a color standard, those tolerances can now be set as absolute min and max values.

• Spectral Hitching

  • When adding a Hitch Standard to a WorkSpace, the offset can now be specified as %T values from 400 – 700nm. The option to set a Hitch offset with tristimulus values remains available.

• Updated Sample Labels

  • When printing a sample label with a connected label printer, the label will now contain information about the standard and tolerances set in the WorkSpace.

• Spectral based averaging by default

  • Starting with this release, all average calculations will be done based on spectral values instead of tristimulus values.

• Updated WorkSpace Revision Logic

  • Now when making any changes to a WorkSpace that would affect the pass/fail criteria for a Job, EasyMatch Essentials will create a new WorkSpace revision. This means that past Jobs will retain their existing pass/fail status, while new jobs can have the new criteria. Previously, WorkSpace revisions were only created when modifying the standardization mode in the WorkSpace.

• Fixed negative tolerances not being allowed on indexes when set to absolute (1886)

• Added Support for updated Vista Didymium filter tolerances (1684)

• Increased the measurement serial timeout to handle longer measurement times (1881)

• Fixed a bug where absorbance was being multiplied by 100 on the data table

• Fixed absorbance not working on the spectral plot when using a numeric standard

• Fixed a bug where partial average, haze, or opacity measurements were not being handled correctly (1772)

• Fixed a bug where empty standard values could be shown on the color plot

• Fixed formatting errors on the XLS export for certain index fields
